Three stalwarts of Australian cycling and the late Ray Rice have been honoured in the 2021 Queen's Birthday awards.
AusCycling's very own Donna Rae-Szalinski, the Endurance Development Coordinator on the Australian Cycling Team, was honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to cycling.
Rae-Szalinski was joined by Queensland's Wendy Sanders, a life member of AusCycling (then Cycling Queensland), and the late Ray Rice of Western Sydney Mountain Bike Club in receiving a Medal of the Order of Australia honour.
Townsville's Ron Donnellan was honoured with a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to children, to cycling, and to the community of Townsville.
Donnellan was admitted as a life member of AusCycling (then Cycling Queensland) in 2015.
They are four of 1190 people recognised across the country for their services to the community and country.
