Governance

The AusCycling Ltd Constitution outlines our objects, powers, members, board structure, meeting procedures and broad objectives in service to the cycling and riding community in Australia. Specifically, our activities are focused in the following areas: 

• Supporting, protecting and growing cycling and riding in all its forms and disciplines from grassroots to the elite. 
• Supporting AusCycling Ltd-affiliated cycling clubs, riding groups and members. 
• Delivering and supporting AusCycling Ltd-sanctioned events and programs. 
• Delivering UCI-sanctioned events.

Our Board of Directors 

We are governed by the AusCycling Ltd Board, which is comprised of:

Directors are elected or appointed in accordance with the AusCycling Ltd Constitution. Generally, Directors hold office for a term of three years. The Chair is elected by the Directors at the first meeting after each AGM.

Our sub-committees 

AusCycling Ltd's Board empowers committees to tackle complex issues within the cycling and riding community, maximizing efficiency and leveraging Director expertise. Our sub-committees also foster knowledge development and cultivate future Board leadership. 

Our sub-committees consist of Board members, external experts and AusCycling staff members. 

Standing subcommittees include: 

• Finance, Audit and Risk (FAR) 
• Nomination 
• History and Heritage 
• Ethics and Integrity 
• High Performance Committee  
• High Performance Athlete Committee 

National Advisory Council 

Our National Advisory Council assists the AusCycling Ltd Board and management to drive the AusCycling Ltd strategy by representing the views of clubs and members, and by contributing to planning while also providing advice to the Board and management. The Council also maintains relationships with member clubs.
