Rebecca McConnell (Primaflor Mondraker Genuins) has snatched back the overall leaders jersey after the sixth round of the UCI MTB World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra.

With Leona Lecomte missing and a third place in the XCC, McConnell had the number one plate reinstated on her bike for the XCO race.

Two flat tyres would cruel podium aspirations for the Australian champion as she fought her way to finish 21st and take a 112-point lead into the next round in Snowshoe, USA at the end of the month.

In the Under 23’s Sam Fox (Team Bridglane) and Zoe Cuthbert would both record 11th place finishes.

In the downhill, Luke Meier-Smith (Propain Factory Racing) can do little wrong at the moment.

The New South Welshman recorded his first Elite Men's Top 10, one place off the podium in sixth.

In the Junior Men, a flat tyre blew any chance for Remy Meier-Smith (Propain Factory Racing) in his race run recording a DNF, while Oliver Davis (Union) crossed in 13th position.

Elise Empey (Collab Racing) improved her result from the last World Cup to finish 11th with Connor Mielke would be 19th in the Junior Women.
