Para-cycling

Whether on the road, velodrome, mountain bike trails or BMX track, para-cycling is open to athletes of all ages and all backgrounds with an eligible health condition and eligible impairment.  

Road para-cyclists can compete on handcycles (H-class), trikes (T-class), tandem bikes (B-class) or bikes (C-class) while on the velodrome, cyclists compete on either tandem bikes or bikes. 

Under UCI regulations, impairments that are eligible for para-cycling are impaired muscle power, impaired joint range of motion, limb loss or amputation, vision impairment and neurological conditions.  

AusCycling also supports events for athletes with hearing impairments, intellectual impairments, transplants, and those using Adaptive Mountain Bikes at club, state and national level.
