What's the Difference Between a Coach and an Instructor?
- Instructors: Focus on developing technical skills and building confidence in a specific cycling discipline, with the aim of maximising enjoyment for all riders. This could involve teaching safe riding techniques to beginners, or helping someone master a particular skill like cornering or gear shifting.
- Coaches: Go beyond technical skills, delving into the physical (physiological) and mental aspects of cycling. Coaches help riders train for competition by developing their endurance, power, and mental resilience. They design personalized training plans and provide ongoing support and guidance.
