Make a lasting impact on the cycling and bike riding community

Our coaches and instructors are the backbone of our cycling community. They play a vital role in helping people of all ages and abilities discover the joy of riding. From guiding beginners through their first wobbly pedals to supporting experienced cyclists in achieving their goals on the world stage, our coaches and instructors make a real difference.

Are you passionate about inspiring and developing others? Do you want to help cultivate the next generation of cyclists?

If so, then becoming a coach or instructor with AusCycling could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What's the Difference Between a Coach and an Instructor?

  • Instructors: Focus on developing technical skills and building confidence in a specific cycling discipline, with the aim of maximising enjoyment for all riders. This could involve teaching safe riding techniques to beginners, or helping someone master a particular skill like cornering or gear shifting.
  • Coaches: Go beyond technical skills, delving into the physical (physiological) and mental aspects of cycling. Coaches help riders train for competition by developing their endurance, power, and mental resilience. They design personalized training plans and provide ongoing support and guidance.
