At AusCycling, we support events for cyclists with a range of impairments, showcasing the incredible power of cycling to transform lives.
We recognise classifications governed by both UCI and other Australian partner organisations.
UCI Para-cycling
Open to athletes aged 8+ with physical or visual impairments.
Athletes can compete in road and track, at club, state national and international levels, including the Paralympic Games.
In road cycling, athletes compete on a tandem bike (B-class), standard bike (C-class), three-wheeled trike (T-class) or handcycle (H-class), depending on their impairment.
In track cycling, athletes compete in a velodrome on a tandem or standard bicycle.
Partner Organisation Classifications
At AusCycling, we also support events for athletes with Hearing Impairments, Intellectual Impairments, Transplants, and those using Adaptive Mountain Bikes at club, state and national level.
