The AusCycling Development Instructor course equips current Foundation Instructors with the skills and knowledge to confidently guide intermediate riders. This intensive two-day course focuses on both theoretical concepts and practical on-bike coaching, empowering you to deliver engaging and effective sessions.

Ready to Take the Next Step? 

This course is designed for current AusCycling Foundation Instructors seeking to advance their coaching skills. 

Course Requirements: 

  • Be at least 18 years old 
  • Hold a current AusCycling membership (minimum Lifestyle membership) 
  • Possess a Working with Children Check. Visit Play by The Rules to understand Child Safe requirements in each State and Territory. 
  • Hold a Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003/HLTAID011) as a minimum requirement. 
  • Complete Sport Integrity Australia’s Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction on the AusCycling Learning Centre
  • Complete Sport Integrity Australia’s Clean Sport 101 course available on the Sport Integrity Australia website 
  • Have completed 20 hours of logged instructing since completing the Foundation Instructor accreditation 
  • Hold a current AusCycling Foundation Instructor Accreditation 

Course Structure (choose your discipline): 

Mountain Bike: 

  • Pre-course Trail Audit: Complete a self-paced assessment form. 
  • Two-day Face-to-Face Course: Refine your skills under expert guidance through a combination of theory and practical sessions.

Road:
