Trials National Championships on the line in Canberra

Apr 4, 2025

A small but select group of riders will converge on the nation’s capital this weekend for the 2025 AusCycling Trials National Championships.

Canberra’s Mt Stromlo is again the venue for the event which will see the country’s leading observed trials riders compete for the top step of the podium in elite, expert, sport and novice.

Nathan Mummery is aiming to extend his reign in the 26-inch men’s event, with an incredible seven consecutive elite gold medals under his belt.

The Victorian will again be pressed by the likes of Matthew Harding and Sebastian Zepeda who were on the podium last year.

Riders will face a series of challenging sections, with novice and sport competitors tackling 4 sections, while the expert and elite categories will take on 5.

Each section is timed, with a strict 2-minute limit to complete the course.

The obstacles?

A tricky mix of rocks, pallets, ramps, and beams—tests that will demand precision and balance.
