Statement on the 2023 Masters and Junior Road National Championships, Shepparton

Competition in this afternoon’s Masters Individual Time Trial has been suspended following a traffic incident involving a rider.

Police are currently investigating the incident, but have declared competition can resume on Friday and continue through to Sunday’s concluding criteriums.

AusCycling is in contact with the injured rider’s family and club, and will provide support for those affected. We have also communicated with those riders who were unable to compete due to the event’s cancellation.

An alternative date to allow completion of the Masters Individual Time Trial will be investigated.

AusCycling will support police and Greater Shepparton City Council as required to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
