Australia’s elite road cycling league, the ProVelo Super League (PSL), is inviting new owners to join in the growth of the sport.

The PSL, which is sanctioned by AusCycling, has today launched a crowd-sourced funding campaign that gives the rare opportunity for anyone to become a shareholder of an Australian sporting league with international impact.

Founded in 2024, the PSL established a business model that is commercially focused and backed by private equity. Its season format is aimed at providing emerging talents the opportunity to progress their career internationally, leveraging the world’s focus on Australia's summer of cycling.

Last year's debut season attracted 321 male and female athletes from 14 nations and secured a free-to-air broadcast platform. The PSL has continued apace in 2026, with SA Kick It and the Tour of Tasmania recently completed.

Under the crowd-sourced funding arrangements, PSL founders Gerry Ryan AO, Matt Wilson and Aaron Flanagan will remain the majority shareholders and will continue to lead the PSL.

PSL co-founder Matt Wilson said “There has never been a better time to invest in sport and road cycling presents a compelling value proposition. It is a global sport, enjoys a strong participation and fan base and is an Olympic sport.

"As we look forward to Brisbane 2032, there is every likelihood that our 2032 Australian road cycling team will feature riders that have competed in the ProVelo Super League on their journey to Brisbane.

"We have delivered on our 'Road to the WorldTour' promise with eight riders from our inaugural season advancing to WorldTour opportunities.  As we deliver Season 2, we have realised 30% uplift in teams, expanded our broadcast footprint, grown sponsorships including securing our inaugural naming rights partner.

"The Hertz ProVelo Super League has a very bright future and this is an opportunity for the sport to own its pathway’s future and for investors to secure a stake as we seek to expand our reach and impact across the APAC region to capitalise on those commercial opportunities.”
