Lacey Adams claims dream UCI Mountain Bike EDR World Series crown

Australian enduro sensation Lacey Adams has taken out the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike EDR World Series overall junior women's crown.

The 17-year-old from Launceston, Tasmania, had all but sealed the title heading into the final round of the series in France over the weekend following a stellar season with three wins, two silvers and a bronze.

While she was looking to wrap up the series with another win at Morillon, Haute-Savoie, things didn’t go to plan for the Yeti/FOX Factory Race Team rider.

Adams was on the back foot early on, losing one minute and 25 seconds on the and spent the rest of the round playing catch-up, and struggled to make back the time on Frenchwoman Elise Porta who dominated the weekend on home turf.

Adams had to settle for third, four minutes and 29 seconds behind Porta, who won eight of the nine stages.

“(It was a) big two days of racing, I really enjoyed them. I spent more time on the ground than I should’ve, a bit of a slow race for me but I’m stoked to take the overall,” Adams said.

She will now turn her attention to the UCI Enduro World Championships in Valais, Switzerland where she will make her debut for the ARA Australian Cycling Team.
