Registrations are open for Cairns Rainforest Rumble, a brand-new mountain biking event set to hit Smithfield MTB Park from April 16–19 2026.
This exciting new festival will bring top-tier UCI Oceania Continental Series racing to one of Australia’s most celebrated trail destinations and it’s free to attend for spectators.
The event marks the season-ending double-header for the UCI Oceania Continental Series in both Downhill and Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) disciplines and forms part of the AusCycling National Series, offering valuable racing opportunities for elite, U23, junior and emerging riders.
Supported by Tourism Events Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland and the Cairns Regional Council, the event is set to deliver significant benefits for riders, visitors and the local community — reinforcing Cairns as a major mountain bike destination on the global calendar.
