Australia’s biggest week of gravity racing returns to Western Australia

Aug 11, 2025

Australia’s biggest week of gravity racing returns to Western Australia this October, with the 2025 AusCycling Mountain Bike Enduro National and Oceania Championships once again combining into a single, action-packed festival of enduro at the Wambenger Trails in Collie.

Running from 1–5 October 2025, the Championships will attract the fastest riders from across Australia and the Oceania region, competing for national titles, UCI points, and international bragging rights—all against the backdrop of the stunning Wellington Dam and WA’s spectacular southwest.

The event is also designed to be accessible to a variety of ages and abilities, and so all are encouraged to enter and test themselves.

The combined format, first introduced in 2024, allows for more action-packed scheduling, shared infrastructure, and a richer experience for both riders and fans.

The week-long festival will feature official practice, elite racing, adaptive and junior categories, and community activities—culminating in two major championships delivered as one integrated event.

Hon Rita Saffioti MLA, Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism, said:

“We are proud to once again welcome the AusCycling MTB Enduro Championships to Collie and continue our investment in positioning WA as the adventure capital of Australia.

“Events like this showcase our incredible trail networks and natural beauty to the rest of the world, while delivering economic and tourism benefits to regional communities.”

“The return of this event reinforces Collie’s reputation as a national mountain biking destination—and there’s no better place for athletes and spectators to enjoy an unforgettable week of riding, racing, and regional hospitality.”

Steve Peterson, Executive General Manager – Major Events at AusCycling, said:

“Bringing the Nationals and Oceania Championships together in one week, at one extraordinary venue, just makes sense.

“The Wambenger Trails are fast becoming a bucket-list destination for MTB in the Southern Hemisphere—and with support from Tourism WA, DBCA and the Shire of Collie as well as an event delivery partnership with WA Gravity Enduro, we’re building something sustainable, repeatable, and world-class.”

“This event isn’t just about crowning champions—it’s about connecting riders, showcasing the incredible WA outdoors, and elevating Enduro as a major drawcard on the mountain bike sporting calendar.”

With the trailhead expo, live commentary, video screen and shuttle access to key spectator points the 2025 event will offer a festival atmosphere for fans and families, while maintaining the technical and competitive challenge that top-tier riders demand.
