AusCycling XCO National Series overall winners confirmed

Australia’s cross-country mountain bike season has wrapped up with the 2026 AusCycling XCO National Series champions confirmed after a demanding 10 rounds.

The series opened in Kenmore, Queensland last November before heading south to Harcourt in Victoria and Canberra for two UCI Continental Series rounds.

A consistent season saw Ruby Dobson take out the elite women's title.

From there, the competition returned to Brisbane as part of the Oceania Championships and Brisbane Cycling Festival, before closing out with the final two rounds in Cairns at the Rainforest Rumble.

Consistency across the full calendar proved the difference, with several riders committing to all 10 rounds and reaping the rewards.

In the elite ranks, Harry Doye and Ruby Dobson claimed the overall titles after strong performances throughout the season, handling a mix of courses and conditions across the country.

The junior men’s title went to Oliver Grande, who contested every round and built his result across the full series. Alana Fletcher showed similar commitment in the junior women’s category, the Bendigo rider also lined up at every stop on the calendar to secure the overall.

Alana Fletcher won four of the 10 rounds in the junior women category.

In the under-17 division, Michael Straffon delivered one of the most dominant campaigns of the series, winning all 10 rounds to take a clean sweep of the title.

Canberra's Michael Straffon would end the series undefeated in the under-17 category.

Sylvia Dagg matched that consistency in the same category, competing at every round on her way to the overall crown.
