Adelaide CX rounds to be pivotal ahead of national championships
Jul 25, 2025

The 2025 AusCycling Cyclo-cross National Series rolls into Adelaide this weekend (26–27 July) for Rounds 5 & 6, marking the final stop before the highly anticipated National Championships in Ballarat next month.
With national titles looming and series standings tight at the top, the double-header in Adelaide is shaping up to be a pivotal weekend for Australia’s cyclo-cross athletes.
In the elite men’s category, Cameron Ivory leads the standings with 283 points holding a narrow buffer over Christopher Aitken (233) and Campbell McConnell (230 points).
All three will be targeting strong results in Adelaide to firm up their positions heading into Ballarat.
In the elite women’s field, Miranda Griffiths consistency across the opening four rounds has her with the overall lead heading into Adelaide sitting on 253 points
She will again have to battle the national champion Izzy Flint (233) who’s DNF in round two is the only blight in what has been a perfect season so far.
The Adelaide rounds serve as the final hit-out before the AusCycling Cyclo-cross National Championships, scheduled for mid-August in Ballarat.
Racing on a typically fast and technical course through Adelaide’s inner-urban parklands, riders will need to be ready for a mix of slick corners, off-cambers, and grassy berms that demand both skill and strategy.
Forecasts are predicting cool, windy, and at times rainy conditions across the weekend, with highs between 13–14°C.
Riders and spectators can expect changing grip levels, gusty winds, and challenging racing conditions that will test fitness, focus, and adaptability.
