2021 National MTB Championships Schedule released

The schedule for the 2021 National MTB Championships to be held in Maydena, Tasmania from the 8-14th March has been released.
More than 800 riders are expected to contest the Championships at the venue which is only an hour from Hobart.
Maydena Bike Park will be open on Monday and Tuesday for riders to register and practice on the courses.
Day 1 of competition begins on Wednesday and will see the first lot of championship jersey's to be awarded in adaptive cross-country, E-bike cross-country and the very popular cross-country team relay.
An MTB development hosted track walk for Under 13 downhill riders is also included.
Thursday kicks off with downhill practice all day while the fast and exciting short course format of XCC will be the focal point for spectators around the village area.
Racing ends with pump track qualifying for all categories while the MTBA Achievement Awards round out Day 2.
Day 3 of the championships is highlighted by the Pump Track finals, XCO finals in Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 as well as a number of Masters categories for men and all women.
Saturday will feature the heavy hitters in the UCI XCO Elite, Under 23 and Junior categories, as well as Trials finals. and the downhillers face the clock for seeding.
The final day of the championships is highlighted by the downhill finals which begin early afternoon with the opportunity for practice in the morning for riders.
XCC racing also comes to a close with Elite, Under 23 and Juniors racing at midday.
There will be plenty of other support events throughout the week hosted by Maydena Bike Park.
The date for online registrations will be released in coming weeks.
