Grace Brown has completed an excellent week of racing in France, winning the general classification of the UCI 2.1 Bretagne Ladies Tour.
She took the lead after winning the stage 3 individual time trial. That was, surprisingly, her first victory in the Australian time trial champion’s skinsuit, despite having won that title three times.
Brown defended her GC lead to the end of Saturday’s final stage, where she finished fourth in the bunch sprint.
That made it three wins in the week after Brown soloed to victory in the Grand Prix du Morbihan on the previous Saturday, a UCI 1.1 race.
The Victorian is looking strong as she approaches the middle of the 2023 season. She started the year on a high in Australia, winning the Santos Tour Down Under after defending her time trial title and placing second in the national road race.
Her French professional team, FDJ-SUEZ, will surely hope Brown continues her excellent run of form ahead of the Tour de France Femmes in July.
