Series recap: 2022 AusCycling Junior Track Series

The 2022 AusCycling Junior Track Series (AJTS) concluded in Launceston over the February 12-13 weekend, with another two days of thrilling racing on the boards following Round 1 at Melbourne's Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC) in January.

Overall AJTS titles went the way of Wil Holmes (Norwood CC) in junior 17 men, Nicole Duncan (Central Coast CC) in junior 17 women, Lachlan Walters (Hamilton Wheelers) in junior 15 boys, and Bille Russell (Brunswick CC) in junior 15 girls.

The club/team series points classification was won by Queensland’s Balmoral CC.

Australia’s junior track cyclists now turn their attention towards the 2022 AusCycling Junior Track National Championships, held at Brisbane’s Anna Meares Velodrome as part of the Brisbane Cycling Festival from March 24-27.

About the AJTS

The AusCycling Junior Track Series is a valuable component of the AusCycling junior development pathway.

Since its inception in 2011, a host of current Australian Cycling Team members have progressed through the series.

The AJTS is supported by the Australian Cycling Team.
