Round 4 results: Club Esports Series

Jul 8, 2024

Canberra-based Vikings Cycling Club has taken the narrowest of leads in the 2024 AusCycling National Club Cycling Esports Series.

Round 4 was held on Thursday evening over ‘The Muckle Yin’ route on Zwift’s Scotland map. The course packed two big punches, featuring the ascent of the Sgurr Summit from both sides.

Vikings CC and Waratah Masters Cycling Club both overtook leaders ZSUN Cycling Club, which slipped to third – but the margins could scarcely be tighter across the podium.

There are just 10 points separating first and second, and only 39 points back to third place.

Balmoral Cycling Club also improved this week, moving up from eighth to sixth.

The series continues next Thursday, July 18 with Round 5 on the ‘Island Outskirts’ route on Makuri Islands. Every point will count with this series looking like it’s going right down to the wire.
