National CX Series Update

Aug 27, 2021

As you are all aware, the National CX calendar has once again been impacted by COVID-19-related travel and gathering restrictions. After speaking with the event organisers, D'Aguilar Range CC has made the difficult decision to cancel rounds 3 and 4 of the National CX Series.

National Series - Rounds 3 and 4 (Samford, QLD)
Rounds 3 and 4 of the National CX Series on September 4 and 5, hosted by D'Aguilar Range CC, has been cancelled by the club. This is due to numerous reasons and the club will not hold an event at any level on that weekend.

Club Statement
We're terribly sorry to announce this but the committee has decided against running the NCXS either in its original form or at the local level. As the NSW numbers continue to climb, we felt it best to cancel rather than postpone. We are instead going to use the spring to get some trail work done at the venue before summer. Our sincerest apologies to anyone who had planned to race and naturally, any entries are refundable.

The National CX Series has only run two rounds, with some states/territories unable to contest those rounds. With rounds 3 and 4 being cancelled, individual round prizing (pro-rata) will be provided to those placing in the individual races of rounds 1 in 2.

We thank all our riders, partners, hosts and spectators for their understanding and cooperation. These are challenging times and we appreciate the ongoing support of the cycling family as we navigate this together.
