AusCycling congratulates Jack Moir on an exceptional career after the 31-year-old recently announced his retirement from professional mountain bike racing.
Moir, raced downhill and enduro at the highest level over the span of 14 years, with a career highlighted by winning the 2021 Enduro World Series overall.
Hailing from Morisset Park on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Moir was a member of the Hunter Mountain Bike Association.

He started his career in downhill, breaking through in 2014 with a top-10 result at his first World Championships, in Hafjell, Norway.
He won Australia’s elite downhill national championships in 2017 and was a medallist on three other occasions.
Moir was a mainstay of the mountain biking circuit, regularly appearing on Australian and international podiums, especially after his switch to focus on enduro in 2020.
In an Instagram post announcing his retirement, Moir said his career began with what was supposed to be a gap year between high school and university.
“For some reason my success was always a surprise to me, and I ended up achieving way more than I ever thought I could,” Moir wrote.

“But I always did put everything into it, tried my best to make the most out of s****y situations, and kept pushing through even when my back was against the wall. I also had the best support network within my parents, family/friends and partner.”
He remained highly competitive until the point of his retirement, earning three top-five placings during the 2025 UCI Enduro World Cup season, including a silver medal.
At the elite level, Moir represented the Australian Cycling Team eight times at UCI World Championships, with his best result being fourth in Downhill in Cairns in 2017.

His last ride in the green-and-gold was at the 2025 UCI Enduro World Championships in Valais, Switzerland.
He was, and remains, a popular personality thanks to his video content, especially his YouTube series Moi Moi TV.
Gracie Elvin, AusCycling’s Athlete Liaison, welcomed Moir to the newly established AusCycling Alumni Club.
“Jack has proudly and superbly represented our nation for well over a decade,” Elvin said. “His success on and off the bike, and the humble and generous way in which he has achieved it, has set a tremendous example for Australian athletes.
“We are proud to welcome Jack to the Alumni Club to support his transition into life after elite racing.”
