Emily Dixon wins Zwift Academy, awarded CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto Generation contract
Mar 11, 2025
Victoria’s Emily Dixon has earned a coveted spot with one of the top professional cycling teams, CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto Generation, after winning the 2025 Zwift Academy cycling competition.
The 18-year-old from Mount Eliza in Victoria joins an illustrious list of Zwift Academy alumni, which includes fellow Australians Giro d'Italia Women’s stage winner Neve Bradbury, two-time Vuelta a Espana stage victor Jay Vine, Alex Bogna and Jess Pratt.

The win marks an exciting opportunity for Dixon as she embarks on a professional cycling career having already represented the ARA Australian Cycling Team at the 2024 UCI Junior Road World Championships and at the Tour Down Under and Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race earlier this year.
“I’m utterly speechless and did not expect to win the 2025 Zwift Academy at all. I’m really looking forward to getting started with the team,” Dixon said.
“It’s been such an amazing week, I’ve loved every minute of it and am so grateful for everyone at Zwift and the CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto team — I’ve learnt so much and they have all been so kind and welcoming.”
Dixon was named this year’s winner of the talent identification program after four finalists, including fellow Victorian Emma Ochoa, were put through a week of gruelling challenges at a team camp in Portugal.
Head of Sports at CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto Generation Adam Szabó said Dixon showed impressive power and speed and was an excellent all-round rider.
“As a rider, she has the foundations that we will be able to build on in the long term. She is the type of rider we were looking for to fit into our team,” he said.
