Club Of The Week - Randwick Botany Cycling Club
Feb 26, 2021
Founded in 1903, Randwick Botany Cycling Club is one of the oldest clubs in NSW.
Today we are a diverse, strong mix of recreational riders, grade riders, national and world-ranked masters, racing teams and a junior base that is one of the largest in Sydney.
We hold weekly criterium races at Heffron Park on Saturday afternoons and these have been part of our club’s history for over 50 years. We do this utilising only our members as volunteers and are proud of the high-quality racing that we offer.
We encourage juniors through our Heffron Park Junior Academy with kids from as young as six being taught skills by a qualified coach every Saturday afternoon. These kids are going on to race in the lower divisions as they gain confidence and skills.
While we take our riding and racing seriously, we do so within a great social atmosphere. We look to inspire the cycling enthusiast to participate, improve and ultimately be a better rider.
