Call for nominations for elected directors of AusCycling

Mar 29, 2023

AusCycling is calling for nominations for three elected director positions to help shape the future of cycling and riding in Australia.

Established in late 2020, AusCycling represents all riders from those who are just beginning to our elite Olympic athletes.

The AusCycling vision is to make Australia a nation of bike riders, to advocate for rider safety, build strong club communities and to make all forms of riding and cycling accessible to everyone.

We believe in the joy and positive power of riding and cycling. And we believe that every time we get on a bike, we are choosing to make a difference – to our mind, body and nation.

Nominations are currently being sought from suitably qualified and eligible individuals who wish to be considered for appointment as an elected director to the board of AusCycling.

Three elected directors will be elected at the 2023 AGM. Of these three elected directors:

  • one will hold office for a term of two years, expiring at the conclusion of the 2025 AGM; and
  • two will hold office for a term of three years, expiring at the conclusion of the 2026 AGM.

However, each will be, subject to the requirements of the constitution, eligible to be re-elected. The individuals to serve each particular term (two years or three years) will be determined by the directors (excluding those three individuals), failing which it will be determined by lot.

If you are a member of AusCycling, you may nominate yourself or another person for the position of elected director by submitting the nomination documents to [email protected] by 5:00pm AEST on Friday, April 14, 2023. The 2023 AGM will be held virtually on Saturday, May 13.

For more information on how to nominate, visit the AGM page.
