AusCycling Staff Appointment: Matthew Poyner appointed to Manager – Club, Community and Sport Development, Western Australia

Matthew Poyner has been appointed to the position of Manager - Club, Community and Sport Development, Western Australia.

Matthew will step into this new position after serving as the Race & Operations Manager at AusCycling for the past nine months.

With great experience as a race director of UCI events and having represented Australia as a junior in road and track events, Matthew will bring invaluable industry experience and perspective to the position.

Matthew’s main responsibilities in this role will be to collaborate with stakeholders to drive the implementation of AusCycling's club development, participation, education and accreditation programs in Western Australia.

“I am delighted to take on the role and to represent what AusCycling is trying to achieve,” said Poyner of his new role.

“We’re fresh off the back of a successful WA BMX State Championships campaign and I’m excited to continue utilising my experience to help build all cycling disciplines in our state.”

Matthew is also well known for his involvement around Australia as a cycling event commentator and will report to the EGM - Commercial, Clubs and Community, Ag Giramondo.
