The 2025/26 AusCycling track calendar has been released today, with racing opportunities on offer from July through to April at national, state and club levels across indoor and outdoor velodromes in all states and territories.
The 2026 AusCycling Track National Championships program bookends the calendar for the 10th anniversary of TrackNats being consecutively held in Brisbane at Anna Meares Velodrome.
Masters TrackNats begins a fortnight of action from March 17–20, followed by AusCycling’s premier TrackNats event where elite, under-19 and para-cycling national champions will be crowned over six days of racing from March 24–29.
Junior TrackNats will be held from March 28 – April 1, overlapping with the main TrackNats schedule and forming part of a jam-packed weekend of racing in Brisbane.
The Quest Ivanhoe 128th Austral Wheelrace has become one of the hottest tickets in Melbourne for cycling fans in the week before Christmas and that will continue in 2025 on December 20.
Flanking the world’s oldest track race is the annual star-studded battles for Madison and omnium national glory, with the 2025 AusCycling Madison National Championships for elites to be held as the closing events on Saturday night, while the 2025 AusCycling Omnium National Championships will be held a day earlier on Friday, December 19 for both elites and U19s.
In a new change, the U19 Madison National Championships will be decided earlier in the week on Wednesday, December 17 after being switched out from the TrackNats program.
Other events taking place over an electric week of action on Joe Ciavola Velodrome at Darebin International Sports Centre (DISC) will be UCI C1 Sprint events, U17 Omnium National Championships and U15 Elimination National Championships on December 18 and UCI C1 Keirin events on December 20.
The 2025/26 Australian (Sharp EIT) Junior Track Series rolls down the boards for Round 1 on the September 13–14 weekend at Dunc Gray Velodrome in Sydney.
Round 2 heads west to the Perth SpeedDome from November 15–16 and includes the U17 Elimination National Championships and U15 Omnium National Championships.
The third and final round will be held from January 17–18 at Adelaide Super-Drome and includes the U17 Madison National Championships.
The Blackline Track League returns for a second year after a successful inaugural season in 2024 by holding three rounds specifically catered for U19, U23 and U25 riders in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Round 1 of Blackline will be held from September 13–14 at Dunc Gray Velodrome, Round 2 at Joe Ciavola Velodrome (DISC) will be raced from November 1–2 and Round 3 will finish the series at Adelaide Super-Drome from November 29–30.
Alongside numerous state and club level events across Australia, several long-running historic events feature, including the TasCarnivals, the Westral Wheelrace, the 43rd Sydney 1000, the Bundaberg Cycling Spectacular and the 88th Melbourne Cup on Wheels.
