Oct 16, 2024

The 2025 AusCycling Cyclo-cross calendar is stacked with a raft of exciting new and established venues which will host national, state and club events throughout the season.

The pinnacle of CX racing in Australia will again be held in Victoria as announced with the release of the national calendar.

After successful stints hosting the 2022 and 2023 CX National Championships, Ballarat will again be the place to be on 16 August as the best athletes across elite and age categories vie for the green and gold jersey.

In an exciting development for CX racing and with the support of the City of Greater Geelong in Victoria, the regional city famous for its support of cycling, will play host to the opening rounds of the National Series for 2025 across the weekend of 31 May-1 June.

Three weeks later Round 3 and 4 will move to the inner-city suburb of Randwick in Sydney, New South Wales where racing will be contested on the 21-22 June at Heffron Park, who last hosted a round of the series in 2023.

An ever-present staple on the CX scene over the past decade is the city of Adelaide where the Port Adelaide Cycling Club will take the reigns as hosts for Round 5 and 6.

Adelaide Parklands, traditionally known as “Zombie Parklands” has always been a tough course, and the club will again ensure riders are tested when they line up for back-to-back series races on the 26-27 July

The culmination of the series where the overall winner will be decided will occur at Round 7, the day after the CX National Championships on the 17 August.

The venue has always provided some tough obstacles, especially if the conditions become wet.

Competitors will also be able to vie for State Championships and Series bragging rights throughout the CX season.
