Cairns Takes Centre Stage for Oceania’s MTB Finale
The 2026 Oceania Continental Series Finale arrives in Cairns this April, delivering four days of world-class mountain bike racing at the iconic Smithfield MTB Park. As the season-ending double-header for the UCI Oceania Continental Series in Downhill and Cross-Country Olympic (XCO), the event will see elite, under-23, junior and emerging riders battle for crucial UCI points.
The event will also be part of the AusCycling National Series for XCO and DHI, offering valuable series points.
Set against the steep, technical rainforest terrain that has made Cairns a global MTB destination, the festival also features XCC, adaptive racing and a full suite of participation events including dual slalom, enduro and kids racing.
Delivered by AusCycling and supported by Tourism Events Queensland, Tourism Tropical North Queensland and Cairns Regional Council, the event cements Cairns’ place on the international mountain biking calendar while offering free spectator access and a festival atmosphere in the heart of Tropical North Queensland.
