In 2024, The AusCycling MTB Enduro National Championships will head to Collie in Western Australia along side the UCI Oceania Championships.

Set against the breath taking backdrop of Collie's Town Mountain Bike Trails these two championships will run back to back over the course of 5 days. With over 100 kilometres of trails cutting through majestic Jarrah forests, rugged valleys, and picturesque rivers, Collie offers the perfect terrain for riders to chase a championship title.

The event will kick off mid week with the UCI Oceania Championship from Wednesday  the 16th to Thursday 17th of October, and rounded out with the awarding of green and gold jerseys through the weekend with the 2024 AusCycling Enduro National Championships running from the 19th to the 20th of October.

This event is also a World Cup Qualifier and gives riders the chance to qualify to compete at the 2025 UCI MTB & E-Enduro World Cup.

Entries for both Championships are now open and will close on October 10th 2024, if not sold out prior.

FAQ's:

Will the venue be open prior to the event?

Yes, the park will be open during the week leading up to the event. Please note that parts of the "Championship" courses will be periodically closed for course maintenance, markings, and setup. However, other trails will remain available for riding during this time.

What is the format of the events?

Enduro mountain bike racing is designed to test the skills and endurance of riders in a competitive yet adventurous atmosphere. Each event will consist of a minimum of three Special Stages, with at least two different courses used throughout the competition. Competitors will start individually and race on predominantly descending routes that challenge their technical skills and physical abilities.

- Total competition time for the fastest rider will be a minimum of 10 minutes across all Special Stages.

- Each rider will receive individual start times for each Special Stage, which will be published prior to the event.

- The course maps and format, including number of stages, will be published before the event

Details on race format and race regulations are contained in the technical guide

What are the age requirements for E-MTB Category?

The E-Mountain Bike events are open to riders aged 19 and over, and include Masters categories.

What are the age requirements for Adaptive Mountain Biking (aMTB) Categories?

To be eligible for the 2024 MTB Enduro National Championships, riders must be aged 11 or older (J13).

What are the Adaptive Mountain Biking (aMTB) Category?

AusCycling has developed guidelines for Adaptive Categories which will be followed. These can be found in our Adaptive MTB Guide.

What are the age requirements for the Oceania Championships?

To be eligible for the 2024 MTB Enduro Oceania Championships, riders must be aged minimum 17 (at December 31 2024)

Can International Riders Compete?

Yes, international riders are welcome to compete in the AusCycling National Championships. They are eligible for placings and medals but will not receive the national champion jersey.

For the Oceania Championships, only members of Oceania National Federations are allowed to compete. Oceania may provide dispensation to international competitors; however, they will not be eligible for placings.

When will start times for competitors be published?

Unlike how some Enduro racing takes place at state level across Australia, the National Championships and the Oceania Championships take place according to published start times.

Start times for each Special Stage will be published once entries close (October 10) and at the start of race week (October 14). Competitors are encouraged to check the event website and registration area for this information.

Oceania v Nationals?

The racing for the Oceania Championship (for Elite and U21 only) will take place on similar trails within the Wambenger trail network. Competitors arriving in time to practice ahead of the National Championships will have access restricted on the trails being used for the Oceania Championships. However it is a large trail network and the opportunity to ride trails across the event footprint is good.
