18/6 Hours of Melrose

Join Bike Melrose for this year's 18/6 Hours of Melrose.

Bike Melrose's annual mountain bike event, the 18/6 Hours of Melrose, is back for 2024.

Race solo or with a team for either 18 or 6 hours, exploring the stunning Southern Flinders Ranges. E-bikes are welcome, and there's even a secret theme to be revealed!

Entries are open and close on Saturday 24 August at 9am ACST.

Come and join the fun, whether you're aiming for glory or just a great weekend ride.

Eligibility

All entrants must hold a current, valid AusCycling Race Off Road or Race All Discipline Membership.

Entrants who have not held an AusCycling membership or taken part in a four week free trial within the last two years can access our Four Week Free Trial.

If you don’t currently hold an AusCycling Membership and are not eligible for our free trial, find out more about our Membership Options, including one and seven-day Event Licences.

Solo (Male and Female)

18 hours

Solo (Male and Female)

Teams of 4 (Male, Female and Mixed)

Timing

Riders competing in the 18 hour event start at 10pm on Friday 23 August and finish at 4pm on Saturday 24 August.

Riders competing in the 6 hour event start at 10am on Saturday 24 August and finish at 4pm on Saturday 24 August.

Equipment

Each rider must have the following equipment whilst on the course:

- A correctly maintained mountain bike
- Australian Standards certified cycling helmet
- One full water bottle
- One functioning front light, one functioning rear light and a spare white light whilst dark
