This page provides information about how AusCycling recognises existing coaching qualifications and experience.
Applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competence (RCC)
At AusCycling, we encourage all aspiring coaches and instructors to attend our coaching courses to gain valuable knowledge and for networking opportunities. However, we do offer RPL and RCC options to bypass certain course elements.
How to Apply for RPL and RCC
To be considered for RPL or RCC, you will need to provide detailed written evidence and proof of achievement that directly aligns with the learning outcomes of the specific AusCycling coaching course you're applying for. Recognition across disciplines (e.g., BMX to MTB) is uncommon but may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

- Australian MTB Instructor (AMBIA) Level 1
- Professional MTB Instructors Association (PMBIA) Level 1
- Bike Instructor Certificate Program Level 1 (BCIP)
