Biography
A former motocross rider and reporter, Rowell made her world championship debut for para-cycling in 2022 in France. She soon won her first medal, a bronze in the C5 women's 500m time trial.
In 2023, she was re-categorised as a C4 athlete and duly picked up another bronze medal in the 500m time trial at the UCI World Championships in Glasgow.
2024 saw Rowell continue to develop as a para-athlete, culminating in a breakthrough World Championships in 2025. In Rio, Rowell earned her maiden world title, winning gold in the C4 sprint. The event soon brought a second rainbow jersey for Rowell, this time in the mixed team sprint with Gordon Allan, Michael Shippley and Korey Boddington.
Rowell also took a bronze medal in the C4 elimination race.
Rowell operates a fitness centre and pilates business in the Geelong and Surf Coast region.
