OVERVIEW

Historically Cyclo-Cross has been a sport taking in the snow and mud of the European Winter. An Adelaide Summer Evening will be a long way from the sport's roots, but the spectacle will still remain.

Somewhere between mountain biking and road racing, riders navigate technical turns, obstacles and chase each other along fast straights.

Local and interstate dust bandits will congregate on the Adelaide Parklands and whip up a summer storm around a short off-road circuit to compete for the title of Summer Champion as afternoon turns to evening.

This hybrid discipline will provide a fitting finale after a week of all things cycling.
