Tiffany Cromwell to replace Amanda Spratt at Zurich 2024 UCI Road World Championships

Tiffany Cromwell has been selected to race the 2024 UCI Road World Championships for the ARA Australian Cycling Team following the withdrawal of Amanda Spratt due to a concussion.

Spratt suffered a concussion when she crashed last week at GP Wallonie in Belgium and requires more time to fully recover.

She had recently made a comeback to racing after breaking her hand at the Tour de France Femmes in August.

After confirmation of Spratt’s withdrawal, AusCycling's National Selection Panel has named Cromwell as her replacement.

The 36-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the team where she will play a support role for leaders Neve Bradbury and Grace Brown.

Zurich 2024 will be her 12^th elite women’s road race for Australia, and 15^th across all age groups and disciplines, having worn the green and gold at a junior level in road, as well as twice at the gravel world championships.

The South Australian was also recently named in the Australian team to race at the 2024 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships in Flanders on October 5-6, and will carry good form into the world championships having won the Sea Otter Europe Gravel World Series event in Girona on the weekend.

The elite women's road race is on Saturday September 28.
