Matthew Glaetzer finishes fifth in keirin at Tokyo Olympics

Our #Tokyo2020 campaign has come to an end with Matt Glaetzer finishing 5th in the Men's Keirin final. The 2018 Commonwealth Games Gold medallist flew out of the blocks, finishing third in his quarter-final and second in his semi-final. In a stacked men's final, Glaetzer put it all on the line however fell short.

Matt Richardson, competing in his third event of the week, started strong in his quarter-final however was edged out on the line, narrowly missing out on the semi-finals.

Annette Edmondson finished 12th overall in the women's omnium. The three-time Olympian and 2012 Omnium Bronze medallist began her day well with a third-place finish in the scratch race. An early exit in the elimination race made it difficult for Edmondson in the points race to make up ground.
