Apply to be an AusCycling national selector

Expressions of interest are now open for individuals to apply for an independent selector position on an AusCycling National Selection Panel in 2024.

AusCycling is seeking passionate and experienced individuals from within the cycling community to be part of the formal selection process for national teams to compete at UCI World Championship events.

As a member of a 2024 National Selection Panel, and in accordance with AusCycling’s Selection Policies, the Independent National Selectors will play a key role in ensuring the best athletes are selected in a transparent manner.

AusCycling Performance is also actively seeking to increase the diversity of independent selectors on selection panels, with a particular focus on increasing the number of female selectors.

This is part of AusCycling’s ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse cycling community.

The following positions are currently available:

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Have actively participated at an elite national or international level as an athlete, coach, manager, or support staff member in your nominated discipline.  
  • Be able to analyse and question objectively, individual athlete or team performance data against selection criteria and performance standards, and/or has expert knowledge to interpret and discuss relevant sport scientific data.
  • Be above any perceived or actual conflict of interest or bias (i.e. not currently coaching athletes eligible for selection or competing as an Elite athlete).
  • Acknowledge that this is 12-month, voluntary role that does not attract any remuneration. 

Applications close at 5pm AEST on Monday February 12, 2024. No late applications will be accepted.
