AusCycling discussions with Cycling NSW
Nov 23, 2020
AusCycling is pleased to confirm that it has been in discussions with Cycling NSW about the ongoing management, operations and development of road and track cycling in NSW.
A specific proposal has now been agreed between AusCycling and Cycling NSW for consideration and approval by member clubs of Cycling NSW as well as the Board of AusCycling.
The proposal involves AusCycling being responsible for the future management, operations and development of road and track cycling in NSW.
AusCycling will make certain commitments for the next two years in relation to the Cycling NSW events calendar, development program and retention of Dunc Gray Velodrome as a facility as well as make offers of employment to Cycling NSW staff.
Cycling NSW will transfer its assets to AusCycling on a staged basis (with 50% of those assets to be retained by Cycling NSW until the end of the two year period).
Cycling NSW has sent notice to it’s member clubs of a Special General Meeting to be held on 23 December 2020 to consider the proposal.
