2024 Queensland CX State Championships
- Cyclo-cross
AusCycling presents the 2024 Cyclocross State Championships at Albert Bishop Park, Nundah. This event is hosted by The University of Queensland CC.
The event includes racing for all levels, from balance bikes to the elites - there's a category for everyone. Don't have a cyclocross or gravel bike? Grab whatever you have and come and race in the Opens.
Cyclocross is an exciting and challenging activity for people of all ages. We don't expect you to be at World Cup level, but pushing yourself is all part of the fun - so please enter into a grade appropriate to your level of fitness and/or experience.
Race Format:
Laps of a closed course taking in open field, on a single track with both man made and natural obstacles.
Target Times:
- Elite Men: 60mins
- Elite Women: 50 mins
- Masters/U19/U17: 40mins
- Opens/Juniors: 30mins
- Kids: 15-20mins
Men's Elite & Women's Elite will be on the course at the same time. They will, however, start in separate waves, as will U19 and U23.

Categories & Eligibility
Please enter into a grade appropriate to your level of fitness and/or experience. The club reserves the right to move people who have entered in an inappropriate grade. State Championship grading is based on your age. 'Open' categories are also available for first time racers, as well as grades for kids by age.
First-timers: if it's your first ever bike race and you have absolutely no idea what to expect, then enter the Open (Male or Female) Grade, have some fun, hang at the back to watch and learn the style of racing.
Juniors and Kids: enter your appropriate age category and have fun.
Junior age groups are based on 2025 ages to fall in line with the National Series therefore second year riders will move up an age group.
A valid AusCycling (Race Off Road, Race All Discipline), MTBA or CA Membership (that have not expired yet) or Event Licence is required
For adult newcomers or unlicenced riders - A FREE 4-week trial Membership is available for anyone who hasn't held an AusCycling membership previously or taken part in a four week trial within the last two years. Find out more here.
