2027 Ride for Country Kids

Each year, cyclists head out on a three-day ride across regional New South Wales as part of Royal Far West’s Ride for Country Kids (RFCK). The annual charity event raises vital funds and awareness for developmental and mental health services, helping country children overcome barriers to specialist care. Since its inception over a decade ago, this rewarding participatory ride has raised over $5 million.

The Ride for Country Kids 2027 takes place from Saturday 3 April to Tuesday 6 April 2027, taking riders on a spectacular journey through the Southern Tablelands from Goulburn to Gunning, Crookwell, Young, and Yass. The multi-day course offers diverse multi-stage routing options:

• Day One: A 127.5-kilometre loop starting in Goulburn, riding out to Gunning, and returning to Goulburn.
• Day Two: A scenic trek from Goulburn through Crookwell and Boorowa, finishing in Young (ranging from 133km to 180km based on the rider peloton).
• Day Three: A final journey from Young through historic townships like Harden, Binalong, and Bowning to Yass, offering three route choices ranging from 107km to 146km before an event transport uplift back to Goulburn for a celebration dinner.

Along the way, riders connect directly with local communities and schools, highlighting the vital reality that children living in rural and remote areas remain twice as likely to start school developmentally vulnerable compared to their city peers.

Entries are now open, with registration set at $1,950 per rider, which includes your premium rider kit, all logistics, safety and medical support, all meals, and four nights of accommodation. To participate, all riders must hold a current AusCycling standard membership or above and commit to a minimum fundraising target of $4,000 to sustain Royal Far West's essential virtual and in-person care programs.
