2024 Newcastle Hunter Classic

The Newcastle Hunter Classic (previously the Orica Classic) is back in 2024!

Take on the HEZ Circuit in the Hunter Region for the final round of the NSW/ACT Road Series hosted by the Newcastle Hunter Cycling Club.

We look forward to seeing you out there for the 4th and final round of the NSW/ACT Road Series.

Grades and Distances

Provisional Schedule

7:30am - Registration Opens

8:30am - C Grade Men (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 60km)

8:33am - D Grade Men (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 48km)

8:36am - C & D Grade Women (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 48km)

10:45am - Presentations

11:00am - A Grade Men (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 92km)

11:03am - B Grade Men (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 72km)

11:06am - A & B Grade Women (A,B,C,D,E,F,G - 72km)

2:00pm - Presentations

Schedule is provisional and subject to change after the closure of entries

Divisions maybe combined depending on entry numbers

Series Presentations will also be done as well.

Venue Information

Please note there is no running water at the race start. Please ensure you bring enough water for post event, there will be portaloo's on site.

Technical Guide & Regulations

The event will be run according to AusCycling Technical Regulations.

Categories & Eligibility

JW19, JM19, Elite Women, Elite Men, Masters Women & Masters Men.

You must hold an AusCycling 'Race All Discipline' license. This event is not open to temporary or recreational memberships.

Parking & Sign On

Parking on-site is off the road and at your own risk

Please park at least 1 metre outside of the curb for rider safety

Please ensure you arrive for parking well before the first start after which the course will be closed to cars

Parking only on the right side of the road

Sign on is located near the start/finish line and will be open from 1 hour before competition
