Benefits of Affiliation

- Eligibility to host AusCycling sanctioned events

- Coaching and Instructor courses for all levels and disciplines of the sport

Ready to get started? Here’s how to start your club in four easy steps.
Phase 1: Pre-Affiliation
As a first step reach out to our team at AusCycling at [email protected] and provide:
- Proposed club location.
- Planned activities
- Timeline for formation
From here we will schedule and attend an initial meeting where the State Operations Manager will seek further information about:
- Need for a new club
- Community and stakeholder support
- Sustainability
- Governance readiness
- Alignment with AusCycling values and reputation
- Discipline Recognition Requirements
Phase 2: Application
The application process will seek further information about
- Membership
- Community and Stakeholder Support
- Governance
- Discipline details
- Need for Club
- Finances
Phase 3: Initial Affiliation
All approved Applicants enter an Initial Affiliation Process where they are provided with specific support and minimum standard requirements during the first two years. The areas we will seek to support include:
- Governance
- Training
- Planning
- Operations
- Workforce
Phase 4: Maintaining Affiliation
To maintain affiliation clubs are required to meet ongoing requirements from AusCycling including undertaking annual affiliation renewal.
