Tahlia Clayton-Goodie

Biography
A mother-of-three from regional Victoria, Tahlia Clayton-Goodie makes her home in Geelong.
She began cycling at the age of four, but a serious mountain bike crash in 2011 left her with hemiparesis, a condition causing muscle weakness on the right side of her body.
Twelve years later, Clayton-Goodie began competing as a para-cyclist, supported by a Paralympics Australia pathways program.
2025 was a remarkable year, starting with two world titles at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Belgium.
First, Clayton-Goodie powered to victory in the C1 time trial, winning by over five minutes to her nearest competitor. She followed up days later with another victory in the C1 road race.
But even dual world titles were just a glimpse of what was to come. At the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Clayton-Goodie added four more rainbow jerseys: in the C1 sprint, 1km time trial, elimination race and scratch race. In the process, she obliterated the kilo world record by eight seconds.
By winning all six of the women’s C1 world championships across track and road, Clayton-Goodie was awarded AusCycling's 2025 Para-cycling Track Female Athlete of the Year.
