    Biography

Annette Edmondson is a retired track and road cyclist whose illustrious career has seamlessly transitioned into a leadership role advocating for elite Australian riders.

Edmondson’s competitive career is highlighted by an Olympic bronze medal in the omnium at the 2012 London Games. She secured three world championship golds: in the omnium and team pursuit in 2015, and again in the team pursuit in 2019. Her Commonwealth Games accolades include gold in the scratch race in 2014 and team pursuit in 2018, along with multiple world championship medals.

Since retiring in late 2021, Edmondson has focused on transforming professional cycling off the bike. She founded Paradigm Shift Sports, a sports-management firm dedicated to representing, mentoring, and empowering track and road cyclists from contract negotiation to career transition. Through this initiative, she became the first Australian female UCI-accredited agent.

Additionally, Edmondson serves as assistant race director for the Tour Down Under, a role she has held since 2023.

In recognition of her significant impact in sport through her advocacy and leadership, Edmondson was honoured with the International Olympic Committee’s Gender Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Champions Award for Oceania.
