Team of 111 to represent Australia at 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Challenge in Copenhagen

A team of 111 riders will represent Australia at the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Challenge in Copenhagen, Denmark over four days of racing next week from July 28–31.

At last year's weather affected edition of the event in Rock Hill, United States, Australia brought home 28 W plates, three of which were wins to Cameron Gatt (15-16 Cruiser Boys), Harvey Brooks (14 Boys 20") and Maya Ellis (13 Girls 20").

Of that trio, only Gatt will race in Copenhagen next week, but he will do so in the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships following the World Challenge event after his selection to the ARA Australian Cycling Team junior men's (under-19) squad.

Thirteen of the remaining 25 W plates held by Hudson Daley, Matthew Fox, Jaxson Hill, Mica Moloney, Zac Hutton, Dusty Schroder, Amelie Reid, Kyarnee Young, Zane Ratajczak, Matthew Blake, Corey Frieswyk and Lauren Cavasin are returning for another campaign against the world's best.

25 national champions from the 2024 GWM BMX Racing National Championships are among the team, as are 2025 AusCycling BMX Racing National Series Superclass riders Stephanie Alexander, Isla Basa, Kyarnee Young, Mena Banks and Makenzie Copland. All five will race in the 16 Girls field in Denmark.
