Defending champions Waratah Masters Cycling Club have surged into the lead late into the AusCycling National Club Cycling Esports Series.

Waratah Masters rallied in last Thursday's Round 5 to overtake Vikings CC and establish a 379-point advantage at the top of the standings.

With just nine points separating second and third place, the podium battle is set for a thrilling conclusion next Thursday, August 1 with Round 6 over three laps of Innsbruckring.
