Punishing climb spreads the field in Round 10 of National Club Cycling Esports Series

Sep 21, 2022

A constant uphill climb and changing surfaces stretched out the field in Round 10 of the AusCycling National Club Cycling Esports Series last week.

Cyclists completed two laps of the picturesque 13.6km “Chain Chomper” route on the Makuri Islands map that features an elevation gain of 184m over 5km and a gravel section at the top of the route, with bike choice playing an important tactical role.

Bonus points were awarded for the two KOM climbs and the sprint finish on each of the two laps, with points also accumulated for overall finishing position.
