Australian and New Zealand riders will race for trans-Tasman supremacy in a new esports series starting next week.
The AusCycling National Elite Individual Esports Series will see the best riders from both nations contest four weekly rounds on Zwift.
The schedule features a mixture of flat and punchy courses:
Each race will contribute towards a points tally that decides the overall individual classification.
Races will be held at 6:30pm AEST for women and 6:35pm for men.
“We’ll see who the best riders in Australia and New Zealand are,” said Adam Power, AusCycling’s Event Operations Manager.
“I’m sure cycling esports selectors will be keeping a close eye on the series, even if it’s not an official selection event.”
The elite series is open to riders aged 17 and above, categorised in ZwiftPower as A or A+. Australian riders must be AusCycling members.
You can register to compete at the 2023 AusCycling Elite Individual Esports Series page.
