An updated membership for how you ride.
Based on feedback from riders and clubs across Australia, we've updated our membership products and moved to a new platform. Here's what's different.
Membership designed around how you ride
Based on feedback from riders like you, membership is moving to three products — Ride, Club and Race. Each is built around a level of participation so you can choose based on how you actually ride.
One membership across all disciplines
A single membership now covers every cycling discipline — Road, MTB, Gravel, BMX, CX, Track and more. No more discipline-specific licences. Race members can even add their UCI licence for no extra cost (saving up to $180).
Club vs Race — which one is yours?
Club membership is for riders who compete at local and inter-club level. You can join one or more affiliated clubs to participate in their program of events.
Race is for riders competing at state, national and UCI events. Race members can even add their UCI licence for no extra cost (saving up to $180).
A new membership platform
We’re moving to a new membership system (JustGo) in August 2026. This platform makes it easier for members and clubs to manage their memberships.
Your current membership benefits will remain active until your next renewal date. When the platform goes live, we’ll send you step-by-step instructions to activate your account and get your new digital membership card.
Annual membership with monthly payment option
All paid memberships are now annual, with the option to pay monthly. If you’ve been on a rolling month-to-month membership, you'll need to reselect the membership that suits best at your next renewal.
Simplified pricing for concessions and juniors
Discounted pricing now applies consistently across ages 13–18, 65+, and Para classified riders. All Under 13 riders receive Race membership for $99/year. The same pricing applies across all disciplines.
Membership options for every type of rider.

New to AusCycling or want to bring a friend?
A 30 day free trial is still available so you can try club-level riding and activities - like group rides, coaching programs and weekly racing - at no cost. Available to anyone who has never been an AusCycling member.
Already a member? No action needed right now.
Your benefits and coverage will remain active — or in some cases improve — until your next renewal date. At renewal, you'll be able to select the product that best suits how you ride. Before anything changes, we'll send you a guide to the new products and what your renewal will look like. Nothing happens until we contact you.

Frequently asked questions.
Can't find your answer? Feel free to reach out via our contact us form. We are here to help make this a smooth transition for all riders & clubs.
Will my membership benefits change when the new products launch?
No. When we migrate to the new platform on 6 August, your current membership will be mapped to the closest equivalent new product. The name of your membership may change, but your current benefits and coverage will remain active (and in some cases improve) until your next renewal date. At renewal, you'll be able to select the product that best suits how you ride. We'll send you a personalised email before that point to help you choose.
What happened to my Race Off Road membership option?
Under the new structure, a single Race membership covers all disciplines (Road, MTB, BMX, Gravel, Track and more). One membership. Every discipline. Every start line. Plus savings on bike protection, event travel, and a free UCI event licence all now available for members.
Race Off Road members will move to the new Race membership at launch, with coverage and benefits remaining active until their next renewal. At renewal, they'll choose between Club (if racing club or inter-club level events) or Race (if racing state or national level events).
We understand the move to Race represents a change in price for these riders. We want to make that transition as straightforward as possible. At their next renewal, any Race Off Road member who selects Race will have a $70 transition discount automatically applied to their annual membership, bringing that first year to $249. No redemption codes or action required.
We're also in the middle of a national review of event classification and sanctioning. That work will give clubs and members a clearer picture of what competitions sit at club versus state level, and which membership best fits how their riders want to race. We'll keep members updated as that progresses.
Please note: This transition discount will be in place for renewing Race Off Road members until August 2027. If members select the monthly payment option instead of annual, a $5.85 monthly discount will be applied to all remaining months until August 2027.
What happened to my old Race All Discipline or Lifestyle membership?
Your membership name may change, but rest assured knowing your current benefits and coverage will remain active (and in some cases improve) until your next renewal date. When it's time to renew, you'll be guided to the product that best matches how you ride -Ride, Club or Race. We'll email you with a personalised recommendation before your renewal comes up.
Is there a family discount?
Yes. A 15% discount applies across any paid membership product for families of 2 or more members (does not include free memberships, such as Supporter). This replaces the previous AusCycling family membership structure with something simpler - one discount that works across Ride, Club and Race, regardless of which product each family member chooses.
The discount applies automatically (on each monthly instalment or new membership purchase) as long as you have two or more linked family accounts with an active Ride, Club or Race membership. To set this up, add your family members to your profile in JustGo.
Can I still pay monthly?
Yes. All paid memberships (Ride, Club and Race) are available with a monthly payment option. Monthly payments are spread across a 12-month membership, rather than renewing month to month as before.
Can I buy the new memberships now?
Not yet. The new Ride, Club and Race products launch when we move to our new membership platform, JustGo, in early August. Until then, memberships continue to be sold through TidyHQ as normal. We'll let you know as soon as the new products are available.
I want the Club membership; can I get a refund of the difference from my current membership?
Product changes take effect at your next renewal, not mid-membership. If you'd like to move to a different product, you'll be able to do that when your current membership is due for renewal. In the meantime, your existing membership and cover remain fully active.
For full details, see the AusCycling Refund Policy
What does the insurance actually cover?
All paid memberships include 24/7 personal accident insurance and public liability insurance, whether you're riding recreationally, training, commuting or (for Club and Race members) competing. For a clear breakdown and comparison of AusCycling insurance program, check out our insurance explainer.
Can I upgrade my membership during the year?
Yes. Ride members can upgrade to Club or Race, and Club members can upgrade to Race, at any time during the year. You'll pay a pro-rata top-up for the remaining period.
Can I downgrade my membership?
Memberships are annual, so you can't downgrade mid-year. If you'd like a different tier, you can choose a lower product at your next renewal.
Will my digital membership card still work after the platform moves?
No. Once the new platform is live in August 2026, you'll need to download a new digital membership card from JustGo. Your old digital membership card will no longer be accepted at events. Don’t worry though, when the platform goes live, we'll send you step-by-step instructions to activate your account and get your updated licence. It’ll only take a couple of minutes and you’ll be off and racing.
Will there be downtime during the transition?
Yes, there is a 3-day blackout period immediately before launch. During this window, no membership or event licence transactions can be processed. The blackout has been scheduled mid-week to minimise disruption to club events. Any member due to expire during this blackout period will be notified and their renewal date will be extended so they can continue to race. If you think this affects your club, contact Member Services as soon as possible.
Do I need to do anything before the launch?
Nothing right now. Your current membership stays active, and you will be migrated to your closest equivalent product in the new platform. On the launch date, we'll send you an email with instructions to activate your account in the new platform and download your updated digital membership card. We'll give you plenty of notice and we’re here to help if you have any issues.
Why do I need to re-enter my payment details?
When we move to the new platform, we're unable to transfer existing payment details or direct debit arrangements. This is a requirement under data security and privacy standards. You'll need to set up your payment method again in JustGo when you’re due for renewal.
What happens to my auto-renew?
Auto-renew arrangements can't be migrated to the new system (JustGo). Auto-renewals will be active in JustGo after your next renewal. There’s nothing you need to do until then.
I only race a few times a year - do I need a full 12-month membership?
If you race infrequently, there are two options worth considering:
- Event Licence (1-day $44 or 7-day $74) -available for individual club or bronze-level events. Covers you for that event without a full membership commitment.
- Club membership ($249/year or $20.75/month) -if you race more than a handful of times, you may prefer this option so that you have access to intra and interclub racing across the year, with 24/7 protection for added peace of mind.
Note: Event Licences are not available for State or National level events.
What happened to the Race Regional product?
The Race Regional membership has been removed as part of the simplified product suite. The Club product is available and covers intraclub and interclub racing across all disciplines, which reflects the events most regional members participate in. If you currently hold a Race Regional membership, you'll be guided to the most suitable option at renewal.
Do under-13 riders need to buy a membership?
Under 13 riders receive Race membership automatically at $99/year. This gives younger riders full access to competitive and non-competitive events from the start.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
New members who have never held an AusCycling membership can trial club-level activities, including social rides, recreational events and club activities, for four weeks at no cost. The free trial is available once per person and cannot be used for State or National events.
Who is the Supporter membership for?
Supporter membership is free and available for volunteers, coaches (off-bike), officials, commissaires, committee members and families who are involved in cycling without riding themselves. Valid for 12 months, renewable annually.
Club Fees may apply.
What disciplines does my membership cover?
All AusCycling memberships cover every discipline, Road, Track, Gravel, MTB, BMX, Cyclocross, Para cycling and more. You don't need separate memberships for different disciplines.
When does the new membership system go live?
When does the new membership system go live?
The new platform (powered by JustGo) goes live in 6 August 2026. You'll receive an activation email on launch day with simple instructions on setting up your profile in the new system. Your existing membership benefits and coverage remain valid until your renewal date, even if you notice the name has changed.
