NSW/ACT State Road Series- Round 1: Hayman Classic

For 2025 the Hayman Classic will be held the 6th April and will be the first round of the NSW/ACT Road Series. 

Make a weekend of it by racing the AusCycling ACT Masters, U19, U23 and Elites Criterium Championships at Stromlo Forest Park on Saturday 5th April. If traveling interstate for the weekend, be sure to take advantage of the CCCVCC code for accommodation discounts at our club sponsor Alivio Tourist Park. 

The hardest race on the ACT Calendar returns in 2025 and promises to be an epic day of riding across all grades. The race is the first round in the AusCycling NSW/ACT Road Series, and points scored here will see riders get some runs on the board early in the season.  
In 2024, the finals in the Men’s A and B divisions were hotly contested in all out sprints on Mountain Creek Road, finalising some exciting and attritional racing. Who will hold aloft the hallowed Uriarra Granite Trophy in 2025? 

We are again proudly supported by PCI Sports, who will supply race saving Hutchinson tubes at our race village.

The race consists of multiple laps of a nearly 16km loop, which includes 170m of climbing along with 6km of dirt road.

Race distances for 2025: 

• Men’s A – 128km/ 2056m 
• Men’s B – 96km/ 1542m 
• Women’s A – 80km/ 1285m 
• Men’s C/ Women’s B – 64km/ 1028m 
• Men’s D/ Women’s C/D – 48km/ 771m

Race Schedule: 

• Rider check in: 8:00-8:30 
• Racing commences: 9:00 
• Presentations: 13:10 

Grades roll out from 9am with time gaps between. Final times to be published in the week leading up to race day. 

Be sure to confirm your start time at check-in. 

Do not arrive at the last minute - allow yourself enough time to attach your transponder and race number.
