AusCycling Coach and Instructor accreditations are valid for four years. This page provides information on how to maintain and renew your AusCycling Coach or Instructor accreditation.
Maintaining Your Accreditation
To keep your accreditation active, you need to meet the following ongoing requirements:
- AusCycling Membership: All coaches and instructors must maintain an active AusCycling membership. The minimum requirement for coaching or instructing is the Lifestyle membership.
- First Aid Accreditation: All coaches and instructors must hold a current First Aid Accreditation (HLTAID003/HLTAID011 as a minimum).
- Working with Children Check: All coaches and instructors must possess a current Working With Children Check (or equivalent) relevant to your state or territory. Visit Play by The Rules to understand Child Safe requirements in each State and Territory.
Renewing Your Accreditation
To renew your accreditation, you’ll need to complete our online re-accreditation application. Here's what you'll need to have ready beforehand:
General Requirements
- Active AusCycling Membership
- Current First Aid Accreditation
- Current Working With Children Check
- Evidence of Coaching and Instructing activities and Professional Development over the past 4 years. This can be in the form of a logbook, term plan, individual coaching plan, or another format that demonstrates your session planning and structure.
- A letter of support from your Club President (or another independent Club Committee member) confirming your continued coaching or instructing activity. Alternatively, if you work as a coach or instructor, a letter from your employer is acceptable.

E-Learning Requirements
The e-learning requirements depend on your accreditation level:
- Community and Foundation Level: Complete the following Sport Integrity Australia Courses: Clean Sport 101 and Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction.
- Development, Advanced and Elite Level: Complete and provide certificates for the following Sport Integrity Australia Courses: Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction, Anti-Doping Fundamentals, Annual Update, and Competition Manipulation and Gambling.
Discipline-Specific Accreditation
Remember, your accreditation is valid for the specific discipline you're qualified in.
If you’re accredited in more than one discipline, your accreditation will last until the re-accreditation date for your most recent accreditation.

Process and Cost
If you're looking to renew your accreditation as a Community Instructor, AusBike Skills Instructor or Foundation Instructor for BMX, Road or Track, please visit the AusCycling Learning Centre and complete the reaccreditation process online.
For all other courses, please use the application form linked below.
Reaccreditation costs $99, which will extend your accreditation for another four years.
